Hasselblad’s precious customer magazine VICTOR by Hasselblad wins second
straight BCP Award
VICTOR by Hasselblad is reaping one award after another for its creators: After winning the
highly coveted glass BCP trophy last year, Scandinavian-based camera maker Hasselblad has
now won the plaudit again in 2009.
Since June 24, 2009, all Hasselblad customers have once again been given bona fide proof that their
customer magazine has just the same excellent qualities to show for itself as the world‘s leading photographic
products made by Hasselblad. “This large format magazine is also bigger than life in terms
of quality, with daring pictures and unusual subjects which are perfectly staged using a clear layout,”
says Forum Corporate Publishing about VICTOR by Hasselblad. The award citation describes VICTOR
as “the perfect image magazine for one of the world’s leading camera brands – a successful blend of
aesthetics and information.”
With 600 magazines applying, the BCP Award is the major European competition for corporate publications.
Together with the leading industry magazines acquisa, Horizont, w&v and Swiss Werbewoche,
the Forum Corporate Publishing has been commending the best corporate publications since 2003.
The jury consisting of 120 journalists, art directors, marketing, corporate and internal communications
directors, print and direct marketing experts chooses award winners in a total of 27 categories. This
marks the fifth time that VICTOR by Hasselblad has been a first-place winner in an im
portant European
or international industry competition since it first appeared in September 2006.
At the BCP awards ceremony held under the patronage of Germany’s Economics Minister zu Guttenberg
at the Berlin Hotel Maritim, VICTOR by Hasselblad publisher Stephan Bittner received the golden
certificate in the B2C category as well as garnering the coveted crystal trophy, considered the “Oscar award” in corporate publishing. “The praise expressed by our customers and by winning
these great prizes is what our team feels is the most rewarding,” says the Managing Director of
the Hamburg publisher, Center of Service, “and genuinely motivates us to even outdo ourselves for
the next issues of the magazine.” This kind of effort can really pay off. For, if VICTOR by Hasselblad
should receive the BCP trophy once again, the magazine will be honored by induction into the BCP
Hall of Fame in recognition of its consistent quality performance in the corporate publishing field.
