VICTOR by Hasselblad continues on its route to success

Honours including the European and international Sappi Printer of the Year Award 2007 as well as the BCP Award 2008 have already demonstrated that VICTOR by Hasselblad may justifiably be described as one of the most prestigious and interesting photography magazines in the world. Now first place in the German Print & Media Award for the best magazine printer of 2008, achieved at the beginning of November in Berlin, provides another example of one of the industry’s most important prizes going to the exquisite Hasselblad customer magazine from the Hamburg publishing house Center of Service GmbH.

Since 2005, the industry awards advertised by the renowned trade magazine Druck & Medien have been presented to companies from the German printing industry distinguished by their extraordinarily good achievements. This year the jury had to make its choice from 170 excellent entries. A total of 25 trophies from four categories were awarded solemnly at the Berlin Grand Hyatt Hotel. Beaming with joy, the team from printers Druckpartner Druck- und Medienhaus from Essen and the publisher of VICTOR by Hasselblad, Stephan Bittner, stepped up before the 500 guests to receive the cherished award for the magazine printer of the year 2008. The 21 expert members of the jury were particularly impressed by the excellent reproduction of the sophisticated image material, the three-panel gate fold and the six language versions of the highquality magazine.

Philip Boissevain, Marketing Manager of Hasselblad is full of praise for the 120 highly motivated and competent employees of the Druckpartner Druck- und Medienhaus organized around Managing Director Michael Matschuck: “We have found a group of real experts here who are able to meet the extremely high standards that our customers and we ourselves demand of VICTOR, both with guaranteed success and results that are more than technically perfect”.
